WHAT IS INFORMATION LITERACY SKILLS (ADVANCED)?

This year (2017), the Library has introduced another new training module as an initiative to help postgraduates and young researchers in completing their research work. The main objective for this training is to introduce  some of the research support tools which can help the researchers to produce high-quality research with efficiency.

Part 1:

Searching the literature
To explore some of the useful research-related platforms/websites which can be used to find high quality articles related to your topic.(Myto, Proquest Dissertations & Theses Global,DOAJ,Mycite,Web of Science, Scopus & Alert Services)

Research Writing
To explore some of the beneficial research support tools to ease your research writing process (MS Word Advanced,Bibliographic Management [Mendeley & Endnote],Google Drive,Smmry, Mindmeister & Cloud Storage)

Part 2:

Publishing Strategy
To identify the best journals to publish your research articles (Journal Citation Reports [JCR], SCImago Journal and Country Rank [SJR], DOAJ, Mycite, Manuscript Match, Scirev, Medsci & Sherpa Romeo)

Research Sharing & Monitoring
To identify the best strategy to make your research outputs more visible and receive high impact ( e-repository, Researcher Profile, Scientific Social Network & Altmetrics)
