About this Module

Google Scholar  provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.  

The Library conducts Google Scholar training at least once a month. The training will cover the following topics:

  • Identify what is Google Scholar, its features and functions
  • Distinguish the difference between Google and Google Scholar
  • Search and identify relevant resources for specific research topic using Google Scholar
  • Create researcher profile in Google Scholar using Google Scholar My Citations
  • Use Google Scholar My Citations features and functions
  • Know how to monitor citation performance using Google Scholar My Citations
